2012 "Forty" Cabernet Sauvignon
Rob Griffin arrived in Pasco, Washington in the spring of 1977 hoping to crush some grapes, make a name for himself and quickly return home to California as a bonafide winemaker.
But Washington never let him go.
Forty harvests later, we released this wine to honor and celebrate his continuing contribution to our industry.
He made just one barrel... perhaps for his 80th harvest celebration he'll make two.
Shows rich layers of plush-textured, smoky cherry, plum and dark chocolate flavors. Full, round tannins and good acidity provide firm structure for long-term aging.
A great match for hearty dishes such as lamb stew or grilled meats.
